Mater Lakes Academy partners with Barry for CPR course

Forming a partnership with Barry University, Mater Lakes Academy is now offering a program for students to earn their EMT certificate following cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid training in their physical education classes.
The program prepares students to perform CPR in emergency situations.
According to the American Heart Association, in order to perform CPR, an individual needs to meet all requirements to earn an EMT certificate.
Barry University is offering assistance to make sure students complete their health and physical education classes, as part of the curriculum to be certificated to perform CPR and other first aid methods.
