Mater Lakes Academy announced that Daniel Moreno, a 7th-grader, has received the Leadership Essentials Award.
This is a national award for all middle school and high school students from the Envision Experience organization, based in Washington, D.C. Moreno was one of thousands of nominees and is Mater Lakes Academy’s first recipient of this recognition.
Envision is an organization that recognizes students who have demonstrated leadership potential, have a history of academic achievement, and who have contributed strength and character to their academic communities.
Moreno was nominated by Alexandra Leszczynsky for his continuing strong work ethic, leadership in and out of the classroom, and his desire for always striving to do better.
With this award, Moreno was invited to attend Florida’s state-wide, four day conference, where he will meet other 6th-9th grade winners of this award.
