Miami-Dade County hasn’t felt the effects of a hurricane or tropical storm in years, but the Miami-Dade Public School District (M-DCPS) is showing that it’s ready.
M-DCPS will hold an Emergency Preparedness presentation on Wednesday, August 17 at 10 a.m. at the School Board Administration Building 1450 N.E. 2 Avenue, at the height of hurricane season, to showcase smart-phone applications that will expedite the process of schools getting back to normal and the different ways of keeping parents, students, and staff informed.
Safety is the school district’s first priority and schools will be re-opened as soon as possible after any emergency.
