Miami-Dade Fire Rescue is honoring its brave men and women during the annual Medal Day, scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, February 4, at the MDFR Training Center, 9300 N.W. 41 Street, in Doral.
MDFR is recognizing recipients of the Employee Valor and Excellence Awards.
More than 100 firefighters will be recognized in seven different categories, with the highest being the Gold Medal of Valor, which is awarded to sworn personnel for performing in the presence of personal danger and going beyond the call of duty.
