On November 3, Miami Lakes K-8 Center hosted the Walk Safe Program event for students and their families. The event welcomed and celebrated pedestrians walking to school that morning including the middle school and elementary school chorus and salsa dancers. Principal Rosy Calvo along with assistant principals Carlos Salcedo, Lissett Robayna and Veronika Sasturrias welcomed students and all were treated to performances by the performing and fine arts department. The event promoted safe pedestrian habits in walking to and from school.
