Monsignor Edward Pace High School hosted 60 students at its Miami Gardens campus during two cheerleading camps last summer.  Participants worked on tumbling; lifts and tosses; dance and jump classes. They also did arts and crafts; field day activities; games; makeup classes; a fashion show; yoga and themed “dress out” days.

“We wanted to provide the community in the northwest and northeast areas a camp where parents know that the kids will be safe and are doing what they love,” Surella Rodriguez, head camp director and head cheerleading coach said in a media release. The camp ended with students showcasing their skills for parents. The school said there are plans to offer camps during other school holidays. To learn more about Pace Cheerleading visit
