Miami-Dade Public Schools hosted another successful National College Fair which was held February 9 at the Doubletree by Hilton Miami Airport Hotel and Convention Center.

About 11,000 students and parents participated in the four-hour event where representatives from more than 200 colleges and universities provided answers to questions regarding admissions, financial aid and testing requirements.

“It is gratifying to know that many thousands of participating students were able to obtain critical information about academic opportunities available to them, especially as the decisions they make today will affect their future,” said School Board chair Perla Tabares Hantman, who has co-chaired the event for the past 18 years.

The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and Miami-Dade Public Schools sponsored the free event.
