Monsignor Edward Pace High alumnus Jorge Sedano was selected to co-anchor Nacion ESPN 2, ESPN’s first bilingual sports news show, which was launched on September 26.

The cable network airs the one-hour weekly program with Sedano, a Los Angeles sports radio host, boxing reporter Bernardo Osuna and ESPN Deportes online journalist Marly Rivera.

The show, which airs on Mondays at 5 p.m., gives the sports team the opportunity to analyze the past weekend’s NFL and soccer match-ups. It will also serve as a preview for the upcoming NFL Monday Night Football telecast on ESPN.

Sedano, who graduated from FIU, began his broadcasting career as an anchor and producer at WAFN-AM 1700 The Fan in Miami and subsequently worked for Fox Sports Radio Network.
He later worked as a host for the Miami Heat Radio Network, the 790 The Ticket and 560 WQAM.

Sedano also was a sports anchor for CBS 4 WFOR-TV in Miami.
