Pace alumni pay it forward

When the Monsignor Edward Pace High School Class of 2009 gathered for their 10-year reunion last fall, the night was about more than who looked good or who became a success. The class decided to create a scholarship for a Pace student in honor of two classmates – Orlando Figueredo and Reynaldo Llanes -- who had died. The class raised $550 toward the effort, the school said. Pace Senior Sarah Celestin received the first scholarship.
