Pace High School’s (Pace) Drama program will present the latest spring production of “Bring It On: the Musical” this month under the guidance of Marianne Martinez, first year lead teacher for Pace’s Academy of Visual and Performing Arts Theatre Program.

The musical is loosely based on the 2000 film “Bring It On” and focuses on the competitive world of cheerleading and over-the-top team rivalries. Music and lyrics for the show are written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the mastermind behind the smash hit and record breaking Broadway musical, “Hamilton.”

The cast for the show will be the largest in Pace’s theatre history and with the help of the Spartan Cheerleading team in the show, it will surely be a spirited production that should not be missed.

“Bring It On: The Musical” will run April 25 to 27 at Pace’s Spartan Center located at 15600 N.W. 32 Avenue. Pre-sale general admission tickets are on sale for $12 with VIP tickets for $20. They will be sold by all members of the drama club as well as the school’s main office. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $15. For more information, contact the school at (305) 623-7223.
