Robotics teams to compete at world championship

Both Bob Graham Education Center and Lawton Chiles Middle School have a lot to be proud of this spring. The schools will represent Miami Lakes during the VEX IQ Robotics World Championship in Dallas, TX in May.

The teams placed for the Worlds during the March 6 state championships that were held in Pembroke Pines.

The Bob Graham Education Center’s Code Masters team received the Innovate Award, while its Fruit Loops team received the Create Award.

Both awards got the school, at 15901 NW 79th Ave. in Miami Lakes, admitted to the World Championship.

Lawton Chiles Middle School’s Shining Eagles received the Excellence award and the Teamwork 5th place award. The school is at 8190 NW 197th St. in Miami.
