School Board Chair Perla Tabares Hantman (center) was honored at Barbara Goleman Senior High School in late March with the dedication of the Perla Tabares Hantman Academy of Excellence Building, the result of a parent-led petition. Hantman was instrumental in bringing the AP/Cambridge Capstone program to Goleman and the Miami-Dade School District.
