Students learn computer animation techniques

 The Miami Lakes Special Needs Advisory Board and the Miami-Dade County Animation Alliance held an animation class for special needs students at the Mary Collins Community Center. It was sponsored by Miami-Dade County; The TAFT Foundation; the Special Needs Advisory Board; The Town of Miami Lakes and Fantasy Theater Factory.

     Students learned how to use an animation program and drawing tablets during the class on June 21. The program is funded through the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs through its All Kids Included program, which aims to make the arts accessible, the Alliance website said.
