The Miami Lakes Youth Activities Task Force is accepting applications for its 2023-2024 Youth Leadership Award.
The task force stages activities for young people in town. The award recognizes and honors outstanding efforts of a high school senior who has made a significant impact through community service, volunteering and/or advocacy.
Qualified applicants must:
• Be a senior, Class of 2024;
• Live in Miami Lakes or attend a school in Miami Lakes;
• Be a dedicated community volunteer, advocate, or leader;
• Attach a resume;
• Include a copy of an unofficial transcript;
• Provide a letter of recommendation from a community leader or teacher;
• Write a personal statement of up to 350 words on what you have done to make a difference in the community.
