Elderly Affairs Committee honors senior volunteers

The Town of Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs Committee completed its 2018 series of Lunch Bunch and Bingo events in late September with over 90 senior citizens participating and enjoying health food and fun with friends at the Mary Collins Community Center.
William Sanchez, Committees and Special Events coordinator for the town, announced a special award was presented to Elderly Affairs Committee chair Dorothy Wix for her outstanding work and leadership. Plus, all of the volunteers who continue to give their time unselfishly for the Town of Miami Lakes were also recognized and thanked.
The committee expressed special gratitude to the Lunch Bunch and Bingo event sponsor Chen Medical Center for its continued support.
