The Town of Miami Lakes and non-profit charity Loving Soles are partnering for their annual shoe drive, in honor of “National Shoe the World Day,” which happens on March 15.
Drop off gently worn footwear at the reception area at Town Hall, 6601 Main St., weekdays from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Shoes will be accepted through March 14.
After a ceremony to recognize the donations on March 14 at 11:30 a.m., the shoes will be donated to Camillus House, a non-profit charity in downtown Miami, which serves the poor. For more information contact Town Clerk Gina Inguanzo at InguanzoG@MiamiLakes-fl.gov or 305-364-6100. --Linda Trischitta
