Town honors staff, officers with 10 years of service

At the January 5 Town Council meeting, Town employees who have served Miami Lakes for over 10 years were presented with Certificates of Appreciation for their outstanding commitment and superior service.

The recognitions were presented to the following administration staff:

Town Manager Alex Rey, Chief of Operations Tony Lopez CPRE, Building Official Eliezer Palacio, Controller Arturo Moron, Code Compliance Manager Lourdes Sosa and Leisure Services Specialist Juan Escobar.

The following members of the Miami Lakes detached Miami-Dade police unit were also recognized:

Sergeant George Soto of the Special Services Unit, Sergeant Eddie Ruesga of the General Investigations Unit, Community Services Officer Juan Rodriguez, and Officers Rose Viera, David Calles, Carlos Ortiz, Steven Hackett, and Ricardo Luis.

 

“On behalf of the Council and our grateful residents, I want to thank the Manager, these employees and these brave police officers for dedicating a large part of their lives to serving our Town,” said Mayor Michael Pizzi.
