Town receives fourth straight Financial Reporting honor from Finance Officers Assn.

Miami Lakes has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States for its comprehensive annual financial report for fiscal year 2014-2015.

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government, its staff and management. 

Miami Lakes has received this award every year since the Town first applied in 2011-2012.
The comprehensive financial report has been judged to meet the highest standards of the program including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the annual financial report.
