Miami Lakes continues to be recognized for its abundant tree canopy and exceptional tree management practices and was once again awarded the Tree City USA Certification for this past year.
This is the 10th consecutive year the Town has received the designation which is provided by The Arbor Day Foundation, in cooperation with the National Association of State Foresters and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service, to recognize environmental improvement and encourage higher levels of tree care throughout the country.
“We are proud to once again receive this great designation,” said Mayor Manny Cid. “Trees bring an incredible amount of value to our Town and improve our quality of life. Our Tree City designation would not be possible without the great work being done by our Parks Department and grants administrator.”
