A summary of various local high school recent sports results:In boys’ soccer, Ransom Everglades defeated Mater Lakes Academy, 2-1, in the District 15-2A quarterfinals. Ransom (13-5-4) avenged its regular season loss to Mater Lakes (9-8) in December. Barbara Goleman High football players fullback Jose Valdivia and center James Rodriguez, participated in the annual Miami Dolphins Youth Programs Miami-Dade County versus Broward County All-Star game Nathaniel Traz-Powell Stadium. The All-Star game was a partnership with the GMAC and BCAA. Miami-Dade took home the victory with a 12-6 over Broward. Valdivia and Rodriguez helped the Gators improve to a 6-4 record, the team’s best in 12 years.
