Town Hall goes blue to support law enforcement

Miami Lakes Town Council, at its July regular meeting, unanimously voted to light Town Hall in blue to show support for law enforcement. In light of recent tragedies around the country, the Town encourages residents to join in on showing their support for all public safety officials. The color blue, also a symbol of peace, has become a way of remembering all departed law enforcement officers across America.
Miami Lakes Branch Library, in partnership with Read to Learn Books for Free, held a Reading Circle recently in celebration of reading and music. Special presenters included Miami Lakes Mayor Michael Pizzi and Councilmember Manny Cid who read their favorite children’s stories out loud.
