A new attraction for youngsters at this year's annual Miami Lakes Spring Fling was the small Petting Zoo. Hundreds of children, parents and families turned out for the event at Miami Lakes Picnic Park West on the day before Easter.

  Kindergarten students from Spanish Lake Elementary celebrated the Chinese New Year to mark the Year of the Sheep. The students learned about respect and cultural diversity as they were exposed to the traditions of others.
