Our Lady of the Lakes (OLL) fifth grader Rafael De La Cova (right) and eighth grader Karina Sarandrea (left), were selected to represent the school at the 75th Annual Miami Herald Spelling Bee. Miami Lakes Educational Center principal James Parker was named runner-up for Principal of the Year at a Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ awards ceremony held in early April at Jungle Island.
