The Bob Graham Education Center Dance Team and Jump Rope Team continued tradition by participating in the town's annual event, the Miami Lakes Veteran's Day Parade.

  The Miami Lakes Optimist Club recently concluded its Fall 2014 flag football season under league commissioner Javier Zapata. Miami Lakes K-8 Center held its annual Fall Scholastic Book Fair in late November with special events for attendees and was labeled by the school a success. The students and parents were treated to a night of “Reading Under the Stars,” face painting, crafts, and a Trash or Treasure show with some courtly dances from the Renaissance dance troupe. 

  Miami Lakes area houses of worship have announced a variety of special holiday religious services and events. Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, located at 6600 Miami Lakeway North, will be holding special holiday services.
