Miami Lakes Educational Center (MLEC) is hosting its annual diabetes screening on Friday, October 3 from 7:30 to 10 p.m. The MLEC health students work together with medical students from Nova Southeastern University to conduct health and wellness checks where they take blood pressure and calculate BMI among other things. This event is free and open to the community. MLEC is located at 5780 N.W. 158 Street.
