Bob Graham Education Center announced that Laura Jui, a middle school mathematics teacher, was named one of the Top 50 Teachers, by regional designation, with the highest student learning outcomes over three years based on FCAT results and Algebra I VAM. 

St. Andrews Lutheran Church will hold a yard sale on Saturday, March 8 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 575 W. 68 Street, Hialeah. Funds raised will provide continuing support for the church's food bank and other ministry activities.

 

Jose and Ana Julia Arguelles celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 31. The Arguelles' have been Miami Lakes residents for the past 13 years. They renewed their wedding vows at Immaculate Conception Church alongside close friends and family, followed by a surprise reception hosted by the couple's daughters Ana Arguelles and Sara Lopez.

  Jonathan Cruz, son of Homero and Maria Elena Cruz, proposed to his high school sweetheart of eight years, Lauren Romero, daughter of Jorge and Elizabeth Romero, on Christmas Eve. The couple are Miami Lakes residents and graduates of Monsignor Edward Pace High School.
