The Optimist Club of Miami Lakes is holding registration for its flag football program.Parents may register their children in person at the front entrance of Miami Lakes Middle School, 6425 Miami Lakeway North, on Saturdays November 16, 23, and December 7, 14, 21, 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.Parents can also register their children online at www.miaflag.com.The registration fee is $100 for in-person registration and $110 to register online....

The newly selected cheerleading squad for Immaculate Conception Catholic School poses for their first group photo. Under the direction of Amy Cao and Jessica Torre, the team is comprised of an elite group of 69 girls from the 2nd to 8th grades, many who are Miami Lakes area residents, who will cheer on their school and participate in regional cheerleading competitions this school year.
Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School’s Cheetahs had a “Spooktacular” start to their late fall season sports. The Halloween week began with the varsity boys basketball team defeated Immaculate Conception 35-15 on October 28.
