Miami Lakes Councilmember Nelson Rodriguez, a board member of the Miami-Dade League of Cities, presented the Miami Lakes K-8 Center with Thanksgiving  baskets. As part of the League’s 7th annual Turkey Drive, the baskets include a turkey along with the ingredients to create a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

  On November 7, Miami Lakes resident, retired Air Force Senior Airman and Coral Gables Firefighter, Carlos Martinez was honored by Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart.   On October 25, children from Touching Miami with Love had a morning filled with Trick or Treating at The Graham Companies, Shula’s Hotel, Graham Residential, Graham Commercial, Costa Realty and Shula’s Athletic Club. The morning was topped off with the kids experiencing a haunted house put on by Costa Realty, and a lunch served on the basketball court at the Athletic Club.
