On Friday afternoon, the Town of Miami Lakes canceled several outdoor events planned for the weekend of Aug. 14 – 15. Citing expected heavy rains from Tropical Depression Fred, the Farmers Market, End of Summer Bash and outdoor sports programs will not be held, official said. Miami Lakes Mayor Manny Cid posted his photo on Twitter on July 26. It was taken at a Walmart store, where Cid is with a pharmacist and said he was inoculated against the COVID-19 virus.
