Town cancels outdoor plans due to weather

On Friday afternoon, the Town of Miami Lakes canceled several outdoor events planned for the weekend of Aug. 14 – 15. Citing expected heavy rains from Tropical Depression Fred, the Farmers Market, End of Summer Bash and outdoor sports programs will not be held, official said. Cid gets vaccinated against COVID-19

Miami Lakes Mayor Manny Cid posted his photo on Twitter on July 26. It was taken at a Walmart store, where Cid is with a pharmacist and said he was inoculated against the COVID-19 virus.
