Last month, four students from Monsignor Edward Pace High School (PACE) had an opportunity to travel to Panama for World Youth Day (WYD). Seniors Nathan Bonet, David Lorenzo, junior Amayah Novela, as well as sophomore Matthew Banich, joined students from the Archdiocese of Miami for an unforgettable pilgrimage. Barbara Coleman High boys’ soccer team fell to Pines Charter, 2-0, in the regional quarterfinals last week, ending the Gators’ season which included a clash with district rival Mourning High in the postseason. Morning defeated the Gators, 1-0, for the district championship after the two teams split the regular season contests. The Gators finished the season 10-7-2 after missing the postseason last year with a 7-6-1 record.
