St. Andrews Lutheran Church, located at 575 W. 68 Street in Hialeah will host its annual yard sale on March 9 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Funds raised will provide continuing support for the church’s food bank and other ministry activities.

On February 19, Virginia Ladeira (pictured above), fourth grader and Leah Rios (pictured below), seventh grader, participated and represented Miami Lakes K-8 Center (MLK-8) at The Miami Herald Spelling Bee held at The University of Miami. The 79th annual competition included students from Miami-Dade and Monore County schools. Both girls did an outstanding job and experienced what many do not have the opportunity to do.
