Class AAA Sacramento pitcher Ivan Dereck Rodriguez joined the San Francisco Giants’ three weeks ago, when they faced the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. Rodriguez, a Monsignor Edward Pace High graduate, allowed four runs, one earned run and four strikeouts in his MLB debut. He’s the son of MLB Hall of Fame Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez, who won the World Series with the Florida Marlins in 2003.
