  The National Council for Home Safety and Security has designated the Town of Miami Lakes the No. 3 Safest City in Miami-Dade County.   Miami Lakes Youth Center will be hosting several fun and exciting programs for middle and high school students at “The Spot” from 6 to 8 p.m. during February  at 6075 Miami Lakes Drive.   Bob Graham Education Center’s (BGEC) Civic Engagement Academy (CEA) won first place in Miami-Dade County Public School’s “We the People” District Competition on January 11. The team continued to the State’s “We the People” Competition in Orlando on February 2 where they won first place for the fourth consecutive year.
