Hotel Indigo Miami Lakes is becoming “the place” to hang out for great drinks, great food, and a great time in your dog. After a short hiatus over the grueling summer months, Hotel Indigo announced the return of its monthly Canine Cocktail Event – a special event where pet owners are invited to enjoy 2 for 1 drink specials while donating to a good cause.
Hotel Indigo has teamed up with Miami-Dade Animal Services (MDAS) to help find forever homes for pets in need. With every drink purchased at the events, Hotel Indigo Miami Lakes donates $1 to the organization.
MDAS also brings pets to each event hoping to find an adopter and Hotel Indigo has seen adoptions at their last three Canine Cocktail events. To add to the fun, the hotel has begun theming the events. Pet owners show off their pooches at their best to coincide with each party.
Summer parties included a Hawaiian Luau and a Patriotic Pooch Fourth of July gathering. The next Canine Cocktail event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 17. The theme is “Spook-tacular Halloween!” to owners are encouraged to bring their dog in their Halloween finest.
The party will include a costume contest and hors d’oeuvres. Hotel Indigo is also teaming up with the Doggie Bag Café, a one of a kind bakery that provides 100 percent natural and organic dog treats. The bakery owner, Chef Laly, will be present with her food tuck to see her treats during the party.
If you have a dog, or are just a dog lover, this is a “must see” event and while there are many “regulars,” there are always some fresh faces who are thoroughly surprised by the wonderful outcome.
