South Pointe Apartments to welcome tenants soon

The Graham Companies’ latest mixed-use project that features ground floor retail spaces and apartments with water views is scheduled to welcome residents in the fall.

South Pointe, at 8205-8275 Commerce Way, will provide a luxury residential lifestyle with work from home accommodations in Miami Lakes’ Business Park West.

Beginning in July, tenants may sign leases and reserve one of the 179 one-or two-bedroom units in three, four-story buildings.

About 80 apartments will have coveted views of Graham Dairy Lake.

Residents may be able to move in at the end of September or the beginning of October, said Mike Martinez, development and finance manager for The Graham Companies.

South Pointe will be a market rate rental community, built on nearly eight acres and with many amenities.

A club room will have a coffee machine, a conference room that residents can reserve and quiet areas for those who wish to work remotely.

There will be a gym with a yoga room; a dog park and a pool with lake views for swimmers and sunbathers.

Also overlooking Graham Dairy Lake will be a picnic area with gas grills and covered seating.

Parking spots will be close to the apartments. There will be electronic vehicle charging stations in the secured parking lot for residents and in the commercial parking areas, too.

Most of the units will have kitchens with open plans and under-counter lighting.

Appliances will be stainless steel, and washers and dryers will be inside the units.

Other features include hurricane-resistant windows and an unstaffed, gated entrance for residents.

The project, designed by architects Wolfberg, Alvarez & Partners of Coral Gables, has a tan and white textured stucco facade and roofs with barrel tiles.

Ground floor retail spaces face south along Commerce Way and have their own dedicated parking spaces.

General contractor ANF Group, Inc. in Davie has powered through supply chain shortages since breaking ground on the development in February, 2023.

The neighborhood is a mix of residential properties as well as offices for national finance and investment firms and the Orange Bowl.  There are also colleges, health care providers and light industrial warehouses and manufacturing.

South Pointe residents would be able to walk to work within the business park.

It is quiet at night. The tree-lined sidewalks along Commerce Way draw locals who walk, jog and exercise their dogs.

The South Pointe community will join other residential complexes along Commerce Way. Those include The Graham Companies’ rental property The Residences at Lakehouse, at No. 8340, and owners of the Villa Vizcaya condominium townhomes at No. 8500, near Northwest 87th Avenue.

The Anchorage townhomes are right next door.

The location is convenient to Interstate 75, the Palmetto Expressway and the Gratigny Parkway. It is close to several public schools. The Park Centre Shops and Royal Oaks Plaza are both nearby on Miami Lakes Drive.
