July 3 through Aug. 30  Play Program at the Miami Lakes Youth Center. The Miami Lakes Parks and Recreation Department has launched a new membership program for kids 5 - 13 at The Spot. Kids can enjoy ping pong, air hockey, board games and more engaging activities under the watch of supervised staff. Once kids are members they’re welcome to visit the center and enjoy the activities. July 4 Fourth of July Celebration. Join the Town of Miami Lakes for the annual Fourth of July Celebration at Veterans Park. Enjoy music, food and family-friendly activities, capped off with fireworks. The Special Needs Advisory Board will once again provide a sensory friendly room inside the Mary Collins Community Center for attendees who may need a break. Sponsored by The Graham Companies, Memorial Healthcare Systems, Morera Law Group P.A. and Cigna Healthcare. Festivities start at 6:30 p.m., with fireworks at 9 p.m. Veterans Park, 15151 Northwest 82 Ave. Free. 6:30 p.m. visit https://bit.ly/3yO6bkX for more information on free parking. 

July 6 Miami Lakes Farmers Market Stroll along New Barn Road and enjoy a variety of vendors at the weekly farmer’s market, hosted every Saturday by The Florida Marketplace Group. At the corner of Main Street and New Barn Road. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free.

July 10 Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce Luncheon Join the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce for its monthly luncheon and networking. Miami-Dade Sheriff candidate Rosie Cordero-Stutz is the guest speaker. Miami Lakes Hotel on Main, 6842 Main St. Networking begins at 11:30 a.m., lunch is at noon. Costs: $45 for members, $55 for non-members and $60 on the day of the event. 

July 10 Miami Lakes Garden Club Join the Miami Lakes Garden Club for its summer lunch and Bunco game. Lunch and game play are $6 and door prizes are included. Mary Collins Community Center, 15151 NW 82nd Ave., noon. 

July 13 American Legion Post 144 Monthly Meeting Mary Collins Community Center, 15151 NW 82nd Ave., Miami Lakes. 10 a.m. Free. 

July 25 Senior Field Trip to LoanDepot Park, home of the Miami Marlins. Join the Elderly Affairs Committee to cheer on the Miami Marlins as they take on the Baltimore Orioles. Open only to residents 65+, seating is limited and reservations are required. Guests must show identification.
