The Town of Miami Lakes will stage one of its biggest annual events, a free celebration of our nation’s independence.
Residents will gather in Veterans Park for the party that starts at 6:30 p.m.
Food trucks will sell food and drinks; MANTRAP will perform pop music and at 9 p.m., a grand fireworks display will begin.
There will be giveaways (beach balls and flags) and a Kids Zone with games. A Sensory Inclusive Zone, with games and noise reducing headphones, will be set up at Mary Collins Community Center.
Free parking will be available at nearby office buildings. Leave pets, fireworks, sparklers, big flags, outside alcohol and grills at home, but picnics are OK.
Veterans Park is at 15151 NW 82nd Ave. Expect traffic delays around area streets that night. For more information go to the town's website.
