Tax Collector brings services to town

Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez and members of his staff spent June 28 at Miami Lakes Town Hall to help residents with licensing. Fernandez brought the Florida Licensing on Wheels (FLOW) bus to provide assistance with driver’s licenses; identification cards; renew a vehicle registration or buy a specialty license plate. The FLOW buses also serve as public safety outreach with the Florida Highway Patrol to help the public with emergency contact registration and safety awareness campaigns, a release from Fernandez’s office said.

Fifty-one residents were served that Saturday, according to Fernandez’s office. Shown in the photo, from left: Julio Ortega, assistant branch manager, Raimundo Delgado, director of administration, both from the tax collector’s staff; Tico Casamayor, president of public relations the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce; Anastasia Fernandez, Dariel Fernandez’s daughter; Dariel Fernandez, Miami-Dade County Tax Collector and his daughter Elizabeth Fernandez; Mayor Josh Dieguez; Councilman Angelo Cuadra Garcia and the Mayor’s Assistant Joshua Villorin. Attending the event but not shown was Councilman Steven Herzberg.
