National Night Out in Miami Lakes

National Night Out in Miami Lakes included a meet and greet with local patrol deputies as well as a four-mile bicycle ride led by Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Maj. Jose Gonzalez. Riders followed a route from Veterans Park through neighborhoods just west of the park. 

     Stormy weather may have kept many visitors away. The food trucks  - Helados Dado; BJ Hibachi Cuisine; 2 Amigos Rolling Loud and Che Grill - didn’t have many customers. Ernie’s Acai Bowl sponsored the event. Riding bicycles from their neighborhoods were Patricia and Elliot Nunez from West Lakes, and James Anderson from Lake Cynthia who all rolled up to the park to join the ride.
