The Town of Miami Lakes has 14 new police vehicles and in mid-February, branded them with the municipality’s name.

“With Miami-Dade County’s transition to an elected sheriff, the updated vehicle branding reflects this new chapter in local law enforcement,” said Clarisell De Cardenas, the town’s director of Communications and Community Affairs. “Branded police vehicles will help residents quickly recognize official law enforcement, enhancing safety, visibility and trust throughout the community.”

In addition to the new “Town of Miami Lakes” stripes that identify the cars and SUVs as part of the local force that protects the town, deputies also turn on their rooftop light bars while on patrol, to bring attention to their presence in neighborhoods and on Main Street.
