Your friendly neighborhood Nessie

The residents of Loch Ness are celebrating Halloween with a nod to the lake the community is named for in Scotland.

Nessie, the famed monster from the loch, is back with a trick-or-treat bucket.

This “Nessie” is technically a large inflatable brontosaurus in a festive costume.

Vice President of the Homeowners Association Adonis Sardinas said that the best time to come by is in the evening when the inflatables are lit up.

“Nessie has become our neighborhood’s thing,” Sardinas said.

The community has also had a Christmas-themed Nessie, complete with a Santa hat. Sardinas said many of the kids who live in Loch Ness ask when Nessie will be back and what costume she’ll be wearing next.

Residents are welcome to drive through Loch Ness until October 31 to see the light up Nessies.
