A Tradition of Honor: 43rd Annual Veterans Day Parade

The 43rd Annual Miami Lakes Veterans Day Parade that held on Nov. 6 and drew crowds to the heart of Miami Lakes to pay tribute to veterans. 

Grand Marshal William “Bill” Knickerbocker, a veteran and member of the town’s Veterans Committee and American Legion Post 144, led the marchers, which included veterans from all wars; marching bands from local high schools; Boy Scouts; Girl Scouts; Star Wars Characters and elected officials. 

The parade stepped off on Northwest 67 Avenue and marchers followed Eagles Nest Drive before ending at Miami Lakes Town Hall where a ceremony was held to honor veterans and their families.
