Clybourne Park opens on Main Street on Sept. 30

Community Friday, September 16, 2016

Excitement is in the air at the Main Street Playhouse, 6766 Main Street, as final preparations are being made to bring Clybourne Park to the stage. The cast and production staff are working diligently to hone the artistic and technical aspects of this show.

In the words of the director, Tatyana-Marie Carlo, “It’s a breath of fresh air working with such a diverse cast, from age to nationality. They will come together to tell a story of family values, re-gentrification, and race issues.”

Since the play takes place both in 1959 and 2009, each of the talented cast members has the challenging task of portraying two distinctly different characters.

Show dates are September 30 through October 23, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m.

Tickets may be purchased at the door, or online at www.mainstreetplayers.com. Prices are $25 for adults, and $20 for seniors, students, and military personnel.
