Headquartered in Miami Lakes, Nutri-Force Nutrition, a Hispanic-owned and recognized cGMP leader in the contract manufacturing, private labeling, and branding of nutraceuticals, vitamins, and nutritional supplements, has received the 2013 Good to Great Award in the Healthcare category from the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.

“It is an honor to receive this leadership award in the healthcare category and make such an important contribution on behalf of the nutraceuticals, vitamins and nutritional supplements industry,” said Anthony Alfonso, Nutri-Force Nutrition’s president and CEO.

“This award demonstrates the accomplishments of our workforce of more than 500 employees and their day-to-day commitment to the company. They are my inspiration and have become the catalysts that drive innovation at Nutri-Force Nutrition.”

The South Florida Good to Great Awards program showcases businesses throughout the tri-county region that have achieved greatness in their mission and established themselves as industry leaders.

The awards, presented during the Chamber’s annual Goals Conference, are open to all for-profit businesses, both public and private, that are headquartered in Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach counties and show a pattern of transitioning from solid performance to great performance over a four-year period while demonstrating proven leadership and a solid workforce base. With $75 million in annual revenue, Nutri-Force Nutrition operates a 250,000 square foot manufacturing plant where it currently has a total of 500 employees.

In July of 2012, the company opened a $13 million, 40,000 square foot softgel vitamin plant with the capacity of manufacturing 5 billion softgel vitamins annually, one of only a handful of such plants in the entire U.S.

The softgel plant will create hundreds of new full time jobs in the next three years, many of which are high-tech jobs.  Alfonso, a 20 year executive in the pharmaceutical and manufacturing industry, attributes the continued growth and innovation to the support of an experienced team of scientists, formulators, and product managers as well as a talented executive team that includes Dan Alhadeff, Chief Operating Officer and Gilberto Diaz, Vice President of Operations.
