The Florida Autism License Plate Fund and Autism Services Grant Council have awarded a $10,000 grant to the HDS Foundation.
The foundation, based in Miami Lakes, will use the money to fund its training courses for students with autism and related abilities to help them to live in society.
“We are honored to receive this support from the Autism License Plate Fund and ASGC,” President and Chairman Cristina Miranda Gilson said in a news release.
“This grant will directly strengthen our HDS B.R.I.D.G.E.S. Program, allowing us to expand post-secondary transition services that support students as they move from high school into post-secondary education, employment and independent living.”
The Autism Services Grant Council says on its website that the state legislature created it in 2009 to oversee grants funded by the sale of specialty tags.
HDS is one of 18 non- profit grant winners in 2025.
