Live, work and play: 6600 Main ready for residents
There is a new apartment community in town, and The Graham Companies is welcoming Miami Lakes residents to the grand opening on Feb. 12.
Called 6600 Main, the development along the east end of Main Street has two buildings – one has seven floors, the other is five stories – with 342 one-and-two-bedroom units that rent from $1,820 to $3,000.
There are also 19 three-story townhomes with two-car garages that rent for $3,300.
“We are delighted to be opening the last phase of 6600 Main and want to welcome all Miami Lakes residents to tour this truly spectacular rental community in the heart of Town Center,” said Luis Martinez, senior executive vice president of The Graham Companies.
Martinez called the project “exciting” and said it adds a “new dimension” to Miami Lakes.
Refreshments will be served during the celebration that begins at 5:30 p.m. and is expected to last until 8 p.m.
Visitors will be able to see two model apartments and community amenities that include a clubroom; pool; conference rooms and a fitness center.
Miami Lakes Mayor
Manny Cid and town officials are scheduled to cut a ribbon with executives from The Graham Companies to formally open the community.
The project completes the original intent of the master plan for the Miami Lakes Town Center, which was drawn up almost 60 years ago by Sengra Development Corporation, later called The Graham Companies.
Residents of 6600 Main will be able to live, work and play, all in the same neighborhood.
The Spot Barbershop, Den-Vest (a dentist); The Nail Garden; Eli M Boutique and Kairos Hair Salon have all signed leases for retail space and are scheduled to open later this year.
Many restaurants – including Jersey Mike’s Subs; Bolay; Sergio’s Cuban Café & Grill; Miller’s Ale House; Pei Wei; Ruby Tuesday and Chicken Kitchen – are available nearby for 6600 Main residents to enjoy on their side of Northwest 67th Avenue.
And a short stroll along Main Street offers even more dining options as well as theaters, shopping and Shula’s Athletic Club.
