William Zambrano Jr., O.D., MBA, has joined the staff of Miami Lakes Eye Care Center located in the Plaza Royale Building at 15600 N.W. 67 Avenue.
He is the son of Barbara and William Zambrano, M.D., and was born, raised and resides in Miami Lakes. He is a recent graduate from Nova Southeastern University’s Optometry School with honors.
Zambrano Jr. performed his Externship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute with emphasis on ocular disease. At Miami Lakes Eye Care Center, his main focus will be primary eye care with an emphasis on contact lenses. He will work with specialty contacts including hard contact lens fittings with patients who have keratoconus, multifocal lenses as well as basic soft contact lens fittings.
He is Board Certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and the State of Florida Board of Optometry.
He received a Master of Business Administration (Entrepreneurship) from Nova Southeastern in 2009 during an internship with Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services of Miami.
Miami Lakes Eye Care Center now has five doctors serving the community including two Ophthalmologists (Dr. Joseph Trentacoste and Dr. William Zambrano), and three Optometrists (Dr. Zambrano Jr., Dr. Adalberto B. Acuna, and Dr. Maria A. Briceno.
The Center accepts all major medical insurance plans including Medicare and Medicaid plus routine vision plans including VSP, VCP, EyeMed and SuperiorVision.
Beginning January 2015, all doctors will accept Medica Healthplans HMO and Preferred Care Partners HMO. Saturday appointments are welcomed and the Center has an Optical facility on premises. For more information, call 30-825-2020.
