Mater Lakes Academy won the FHSAA Class 4A state championship in boys basketball on March 4 in Lakeland.
The team beat St. Petersburg Gibbs 47-39 in the state semifinals on March 2, then beat The Villages Charter 77-41 two days later in the championship game.
Michael Bradley had 21 points, including five 3-pointers, for MLA in the title game, while Christian Reid scored 20 on 9-for-11 shooting and Anthony Knowles added 13.
All 10 MLA players who appeared in the state championship game scored.
The team finished with a 28-3 record under coach Dylan Estock.
Mater Lakes Academy Middle/High School is at 17300 NW 87th Ave. in Hialeah.
