Miami Lakes Garden Club is inviting members and residents to attend a special presentation on the “Common Sense Approach to Growing Orchids” presented by Dan Christensen, an orchid expert and former president of the South Florida Orchid Society.
The presentation is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, October 28, at the Mary Collins Community Center, 15151 Montrose Road (N.W. 82 Avenue). Christensen, owner of Dan and Margie Orchids, has been speaking on general orchid culture, Vanda culture and various subjects related to orchids for over 20 years.
He uses the “common sense” approach to growing. Those attending the event will have an opportunity to take information about growing orchids, and the enter a raffle to win a beautiful orchid. Additional orchids will be available for purchase from Christensen at the end of the presentation.
